Meet the BHML Staff

Meet Tim!

tim1The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library welcomes its newest member of the staff, our new executive director, Tim McFadden. Tim was born in Massachusetts, and is  a graduate of Florida State University and Simmons College, Boston. He has worked for many years in both academic and public libraries, most recently as Director of Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston MA, and Director of the Waldoboro Public Library, in Waldoboro, Maine.  Tim is also a landscape designer, trained at the Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.  He enjoys gardening (of course!), reading, fishing, and hanging out with Lily and Henry, his two Irish Jack Russell Terriers.  Tim lives in Damariscotta with his wife, Carol, the children’s librarian at the Patten Free Library in Bath, ME.

Meet Miss Mary!

Mary_webMary Pinkham is our Children's Librarian. Her years of experience coupled with her love of her job and affection for nearly every child who has ever passed through the Library, make our Children's Library section a place to be proud of. Affectionately known as "Pinkus", Mary selects most of the children's books. She also conducts a Story Hour, with music and crafts, every Friday from 10-11:00 AM.

Meet Linda!

linda_webLinda Barter is our Circulation Librarian. She handles all of the requests for our home delivery program as well as the Large Print resources in the library. She has much of the responsibility for Interlibrary Loans. Linda has the ability to remember almost every book in the adult section of the library -- a terrific resource for both patrons and the library to have available!

Meet Barb!

Barb_webBarb is our Program Director here at the library.  She has initiated several presentations and classes since she was hired in 2007, including a four-part Armchair Traveler series, monthly literary luncheons, a writers' group, and French Conversation Nights. Barb is also the coordinator of CLICK, a collaborative organization with the Opera House for "lively, imaginative, and creative kids". Barb welcomes your thoughts and ideas!
