DoironLiterary Lunch &  Book Signing Season Finale: Award Winning Crime Series Author, Paul Doiron, “The Precipice”, and coming soon, “Widow Maker”, Fri., May 13, 11:30 a.m. Bring your own lunch or reserve a bagged lunch catered from the East Boothbay General Store, $10, due at registration. Registration closes May 12. Space is limited; registration required.

Monday Night Book Group  This group meets the second Monday of each month to talk about a book of fiction. Read the chosen book at your leisure and join the discussion. The book that will be discussed at the April 11 meeting at 7 p.m. is  “My Brilliant Friend” by Elena Ferrante.   Facilitated by Laddie Drucker,  633-5578.

Coastal Humane Society & Pet Adoption, Sat., May 7, 10:30-12, upstairs Community Room. All ages welcome to this family-friendly, informative presentation on the role shelters play in our community. Come meet a few furry guests in need of forever homes too! Seating is limited; registration is recommended.

Laying the Groundwork for Immigrant Ancestor Research with Kathleen Maclachlan, Wed, May 18, 5:30-6:30 p.m., upstairs Community Room. Learn how to delve into US sources to begin a search into immigrant ancestors’ lives here and abroad.  Following this brief presentation, there will be a discussion on how interested patrons might organize a genealogy group to meet regularly at BHML. Seating is limited; registration recommended.

HOME, Homeschoolers of Maine Workshop with Vice President of HOME, Chris Wilcoxson, Wed., May 25, 6-8 p.m. An informative and encouraging presentation on Maine homeschooling laws, curriculum planning, portfolios, evaluations, record keeping, resources, support groups, and a question/answer session. Seating is limited; registration recommended.

Boothbay Region Writer's Group  Boothbay Region Writers’ Group Love to write? The Writer’s Group meets at 6:00 p.m. on the first Tues of each month.

lego bricksLEGO MANIA!  Calling all Lego enthusiasts ages 7 and up: If you like building with Lego blocks, you will love this group that meets each Friday, 3 to 4:30, from Jan 8 through May 27th.  We have blocks or bring your own and we’ll build together!  Meets in the upstairs Community Room.

Children’s Story Hour each Friday, and 1st & 3rd Saturday of month, 10 a.m.
